ABUJA BASED WOMENSWEAR BRAND, CYNTHIA & ANGELS’ SS18 LOOKBOOK

ABUJA BASED WOMENSWEAR BRAND, CYNTHIA & ANGELS’ SS18 LOOKBOOK

One thing caught my attention in some of the Cynthia & Angel collection pieces – pleats! I love me some pleats and the pleats on the pants especially, makes me want to go get me some well-tailored pants with dramatic pleats.

The Cynthia & Angel collection for spring has very specific looks, and the pieces are meant to showcase the casualness that comes with the city of Abuja. The collection, strongly inspired by loungewear, fancy in midi and lean silhouettes, have a great hint of pajama-style.

Some of the pieces can be worn to work, while others are perfect for less formal occasions. As conservative as most of the outfits look, they still bring the charm, elegance and style befitting of a professional woman who wants a bit of sass, radical and high fashion touch in her dresses.

Did you see the black and white shirts with the pleats on the sleeves? They reminded me of Daenerys’ dragons in GoT – and maybe because it reminds me of a fierce queen, the shirts spell royalty for me.

Asymmetric pyjama belted look, co-ord pyjamas set cinched in the waist, belted button down piece, belted two-piece, accordion pleat detailed dress with cap sleeves, peplum flared hemline on body grazing dress were some of the looks from the collection.

Sheer appliqué detailed shirt paired with accordion pleats skirts, accordion pleats trousers paired with body top were also features from the lookbook.

If I might add, this collection is a great improvement compared to the brand’s SS17 collection.

See looks from the SS18 collection below and be inspired to patronize the Abuja-based womenswear brand.
