The Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2017 has finally come to an end, and we are not sure we know how we feel! It was four days of absolute fashion wonder – diverse collection pieces hitting the runway by super talented and equally fashionable designers! The glam, the glitz, the hype was overwhelming and be sure that even though the fashion week has been concluded, you’ll still be getting updates and highlights from the event! Nope, HLFDW will not leave in a hurry! And today, we want to show you a few shots from the event taken by legendary photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi.

HLFDW which kicked off on Wednesday October 25 and ended yesterday Saturday 28 featured designers such as Moofa, Mai Atafo, Lisa Folawiyo, Tokyo James, Orange Culture, Andrea Iyamah, House of Kaya and others on the runway show. We could not get enough of the creative African designs showcased and the sass brought on by the models that wore the looks.

A large number of guests graced the occasion and just like last year, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, one of Nigeria’s most respected photographers was on standby the capture some fine and unforgettable moments and looks of celebrities, guests and models.

This year, Kelechi Amadi-Obi highlighted the complete cultural experience was by exhibiting pictures that are depictions of true contemporary African elegance, representing the place of culture and self-expression in shaping the future of fashion.

These shots, you’ll see below, are in line with the runway shows theme for this year’s fashion week ‘Africa: Shaping Fashion’s Future’, and the looks were made up of a large number of new African designs, materials and techniques.

HLFDW ’17 came to an end yesterday at Eko Atlantic, Lagos with the Heineken ‘Live Your Music’ party, coming up after the Fashion show.
